Sebderm is a fungal infection whereas Rosacea is likely a bacterial infection. Both can be present at the same time. Actually Rosacea may be caused for the abuse of steroids on the skin. Chances are that using steroids make the skin to get thinner as a major side effect, disrupting the skin barrier and make it more prone to bacterial infections (like Rosacea!!!!). So, yes this very common mostly in people who have suffered from sebderm for long periods of time. My approach was to tackle both conditions at the same time and the Elixir from Epicderma has been a game-changer.

Yes, it is possible to have both seborrheic dermatitis and rosacea at the same time. In fact, a survey from the National Rosacea Society found that 25 percent of people with rosacea had also been diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis. While these conditions can look similar and have overlapping symptoms like discoloration, oily skin, burning, and itchiness, there are ways to tell them apart. Rosacea typically shows spiderlike blood vessels and mainly occurs on the face and eyes. Seborrheic dermatitis can appear anywhere on the body (except palms and feet) but tends to show up on the scalp and oily parts of the face like the nose, ears, eyebrows, and eyelids. If you're experiencing symptoms, a dermatologist can help determine which condition(s) you have by examining your skin, assessing symptoms, asking about triggers, and reviewing your medical history. Sometimes additional lab tests may be needed to confirm the diagnosis.
