Members responded to a question about whether seborrheic dermatitis affects the mouth, gums, tongue, and teeth, with a few sharing their own experiences of SD appearing on or inside their lips and mouth. One member described SD spreading from their lips into their mouth and called it a mess, while another mentioned constantly dealing with flakes falling off their lips. Several members expressed frustration with the condition and uncertainty about whether inner mouth sores, gum issues, or tongue problems could be related to SD or potentially caused by something else like food allergies.

Thanks for the info. Actually, I don't know why it wouldn't be connected to especially vulnerable people. Just between you and me, I think the COVID shots weakened our immunity. My grandkids catch everything. My 16 year old had a 104 fever yesterday. Since school started, he's been to the Dr. 3 times. No diagnosis. No Strep. "There's something going around." He had all 4 shots. Just saying.

I have it on my lips and feel like sometimes it is in my mouth. It’s awful. Feel like I’m constantly “eating” the flakes that fall off. It’s gross and I also hate it

Thanks, Sharon for that info. I think I might have it as well. I have sores on my tongue, that come and go, and inside by my jawbone; they last longer. And also on my gums now and then. Sometimes I think it's a food allergy but it would have happened before this last month. How is it affecting your inner mouth? Get better!🤔
