SebDerm In Your Ears
A MySebDermTeam Member asked a question 💭

Do any of you have SebDerm inside your ears? I haven’t been able to wear my hair up in what feels like years because I could clean every crevice of my ears in the morning, and new flakes would pop up by the evening. Even when my scalp clears up, my ears have flakes, and it’s stressful.

Aveeno for eczema is the only thing that has helped my ears. A couple times a day.

Yes, it's in my ears, on my nose by my eye. I think in my nose, and on other parts of my body. :(

@A MySebDermTeam Member This sounds like my story and how it spread for me also. I've cried myself to sleep more times in the past 6 months. Or get up from my desk chair and just run around the house screaming trying to jump out of my skin! I do have amazing support. I did the steroid protocol for my insurance co to approve Dupixent. It's been 2 load dose shots at the same time, then 1 every other week. I've had 2 additional and about to have my 3rd this week. Definitely a life savor. It's slow and can take months to see full affects but I've turned a corner. It's small steps every day. Out of everything I've tried, only the steroid drops would stop the oozing on my head. I do thin Aveeno eczema healing is one of the better things as it feels like it creates a little coating. Because my head is so scaly (felt like the skin of an alligator) and is healed but flaking and itching a ton (better since starting the med), I found this castro oil with mango butter (smells amazing) and my boyfriend has forced me to put it on my scalp and he wraps my head and I sleep on it. It makes a world of difference and I'm even keeping it wrapped during the day until I can't take it any more. Then I get a shower, give it some time and do it again. It's hard for me to go out anywhere with how I look. I hear your cry. I understand and I'm so sorry one other person has to deal with this. Read alot about a community of dr's saying it's from toxins in the body that we need to get to the root of and the skin is trying to filter it out. And suggest a liver, kidney and gut cleanse under their care of course. Just don't know about all that. It started for me when I moved to NC. The humidity and allergens are over the top and I am highly allergic to poison. I'm having the water tested for metals also as I'm allergic to nickel and the water is SUPER hard here. I should probably go to an allergist and get patch tested and allergy tested so I know more about what could be some triggers.
