Do any of you have SebDerm inside your ears? I haven’t been able to wear my hair up in what feels like years because I could clean every crevice of my ears in the morning, and new flakes would pop up by the evening. Even when my scalp clears up, my ears have flakes, and it’s stressful.

Members connected over the frustrating reality of seborrheic dermatitis in the ears, sharing how flares can return within hours of cleaning and how the condition often spreads to the face, nose, scalp, neck, and beyond. Several members shared practical tips including using a Q-tip with gentle eczema lotion around the outer ear, prescription ear drops or fluocinonide oil applied by Q-tip, and diluted apple cider vinegar as an overnight tonic for relief. A recurring theme was feeling overwhelmed and dismissed by doctors, but many found encouragement in seeing a new dermatologist who took their symptoms seriously.

Yes, it's in my ears, on my nose by my eye. I think in my nose, and on other parts of my body. :(

Prescription fluocinalide oil, dip Q tip in it and apply in ears. Works for a couple weeks

I just turned 44 and I have never EVER had any kind of skin issues of any kind, not even an occasional pimple. Then, about 2 years ago I started noticing flakes on my clothing mainly in the shoulder and back area. And my scalp was always so, so itchy!. I decided to switch shampoo and conditioners and started using products for dandruff control. It has been over a year now and I have literally tried everything and nothing works. It's like I have developed a hole another scalp that has grown right on top of my existing scalp. I don't even know how to explain it! It's like a layer of dead skin and cells and sometimes it looks almost yellowish. It is constantly itching so bad. I have to constantly clip my fingernails and keep them so short so I don't scratch and make myself bleed. I can't put any kind of product in my hair at all because it will make the sephoric dermatitis so much worse. No gel , no hairspray nothing!! My hair has also became very very thin. I really I really need help! Please, please reach out to me if you have any advice or hacks or anything! I now have it in my ears and my eyebrows and even the crease of my nose! The ears are really bad though. I do find that if I take it polo shirt and wrap it around my finger and then gently wipe the inside and the outside of my ears That tends to work really well with getting rid of a lot of the flaking
