Everyone’s face is different. I have seb Derm on my face especially my nose. The bridge of my nose is generally pink and the skin gets flakey, I was also having a lot of crusting at the corners of my nose. Then my right ear started. I bought so many products and had multiple prescriptions from the dermatologist. Mine broke out during stress and GI issues. Over the past 4 years I have given so many products away. I recently tried mct oil 8-10 and so far it has given me the best results. I did not understand that you were supposed to use only a couple of drops 1-2 x week and used a thin coating on my skin for several days. It wasn’t pretty! My face started peeling flakes and my cheeks felt like sandpaper. That was 4 weeks ago. I now have a little flaking on my nose,
Not bad, no crusting beside my nose and my skin is no longer getting the little pimples all the time. I had senior acne going on. Affected areas are no longer red. I wash my face in lukewarm water with vanicream gentle face wash, every pm and most mornings then apply 2-3 drops of Ordinary squalane oil to damp skin on face and lightly tap it into the skin. After a few minutes moisturize with Clinique moisture Surge 100h every am and pm.
The dermatologist kept giving me prescription shampoos, and ointments an even foot cream . All of those products just dried my skin out terribly and made the flaking so much worse.
Good luck!
