Hello Janice. If you have sebderm on your scalp only I would go for Nizoral in the first place. BUT, if you have in areas of your face don't use any steroid (like hydrocortisone) it is a downward spiral. I would rather use alternative remedies like this Elixir from Epicderma which is magic!

There are several effective over-the-counter options available for managing seborrheic dermatitis flare-ups. The most common and effective treatments include antifungal products containing ketoconazole, which works by stopping the growth of yeast that contributes to symptoms. These come in various forms including shampoos, creams, foams, and gels.
Another helpful option is products containing hydrocortisone, which can help reduce inflammation and calm flare-ups. Look for products specifically labeled for seborrheic dermatitis or dandruff treatment. When choosing products, look for those with the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance, as these have been tested for irritants. It's important to follow label instructions carefully and be consistent with treatment. If you experience irritation or if OTC treatments aren't providing enough relief, consider consulting with a healthcare provider who can recommend stronger treatment options.
Remember that finding the right treatment may take some trial and error, as what works best can vary from person to person.
