Yes and I wasn't aware where it came from until now. It helps to know I'm not alone and someone can help.
The covid shot didn't cause hair loss, at least not mine. That I know. It's safe and effective and totally the responsible thing to do for my family and community. Yay for your daughters!
I went through menopause at 27 because a forced hysterectomy, but being 52, maybe that could be contributing to it! I will have to ask my doctor about a 2nd menopause at 50 even after a hysterectomy! Thank you for the information!
Hi Vikki,
I too have lost about 1/2 of my hair, with no regrowth. Some SD people have seen growth though, once their symptoms have subsided. I started losing my hair at menopause, but I also had SD on my scalp, so between the two, it's 1/2 gone. I cut my hair short, stopped coloring it, am rotating shampoos, using oil every couple of weeks, and I think my scalp is getting better. I have 3 daughters all in their early-mid fifties, and they have lost quite a bit of their hair, being menopausal. They do not have SD. yet---They did have the Covid 19 shots though, so anything can happen. I am so sorry that your scalp is dripping with sebum. Many of the members on this site have had a similar experience. You are not alone. Best wishes for a happy Thanksgiving. π§π»βπ¦³
Bald spots. About half the amount I used to have. Very thin.π
