I've got to tell anyone who will listen, that I contracted an infection on my scalp, and had to deal with it for years. It was not until it got so bad that I was covered with outbreaks all over my body. Well long story short, I end up in Stanford, one of the most prestigious med schools in CA and I meet with the head of Dermatology and she tells me she thinks its presenting like scabies! I was like look, my MD thought so to, but he found no actual mites or anything. So finally, she gives me a wound culture, and presto! Oh stop taking that med you have Staph! So I start on Keflex, which seem to help, but it really cleared up after Dupixent. My Point is, my MD initially thought I was scratching myself in my sleep!!!! Now that is down right ridiculous, Im sorry! Furthermore after Stanford said Staph, they also said I had 2 other secondary infections that just fell under the umbrella of Seborrhic Dermatitis! Which means we dont really know what it is! Its just a little nuts to me when the best of this field seem to be guessing to save face. Its just.......I don't know, i'm just glad my scalp has totally cleared up as has the rest of my body, save my elbows which are stubbornly hanging on! I wish all who have these terrible skin conditions can get thru and over them because this crap took 2 years of my life!!! Hang in there!!! Things can get better! Drew

By being sure to switch it up on what shampoo I use and then switch it back and forth . My Dr. Told me to do this he said I should use at least 3 different shampoos switching back and forth because whatever works now won't continue to work but it can work again when I go back to it. No one thing will be the golden forever answer, oh and for summer just keep it out of the sun and Wash as soon as u get home.

Thanks for your response. Does the mint change the odor of the Tea Tree much? It should cool things down I would think. I might get some to alternate with the Dermoia shampoo. 😄

I just bought some shampoo with Tree Tea and Mint. I used it once so far and not sure if there is a difference. I don't think my scalp itches like it did. I also have been using DSMO on my scalp and I think it is healing, not sure.

This shampoo has been a GAME CHANGER for me. My scalp was about as worst case you could imagine. Seborrhea dermatitis is fungal in nature (Malassezia yeast). This shampoo has no chemicals or irritants and it's for pets and humans. It is super concentrated, so I use about a dime size twice a week making sure to put directly on my scalp. I use about a quarter size on my Golden Retriever about once a month (cleared his itching up immediately). I bought it in July and I'm just now starting the second bottle! There are a few other products for skin as well that work in the same way killing the fungal infection. Use the link above and we both get a discount. But more importantly, it works.
