My SD symptoms aren’t extreme. Just oily scalp. I also use Ketoconazole shampoo. Does it leave your hair a funky texture? It doesn’t help me much with the oils. So for those reasons I decided to stop using it for a couple of weeks to se if it will subside without the shampoo.

Hello there Alice. First thing is you can't scratch eczema so if it's itching rub it don't scratch it but one better if no cream just put a wet cold wash cloth on the area. Hope it works for you and you have a blessed day.

I also have SD on my scalp and my dermetoligist prescribed Clobetasol propionate 0.05% topical solution for the itchy scalp. I used it very frequently in the beginning of my symptoms. Now I only have to apply it occasionally. Yes, I it works that good for me. I highly recommend giving it a try. I also use a variety of otc dandruff shampoos and rotate with the prescription ketoconazole shampoo. I don't wash my hair everyday either, I think that helps also. Best of luck to you.
