PeterBrown-Exactly I have a grave yard of products that didn't work just sitting there. I just hold on to them thinking you never know when I might try again, but you know after a certain time it's time. I also know what you mean about them stop working. The head and shoulders was working and suddenly stopped one day. I was using for years. Now I've started Vanicream and it gives some relief but just on the watch for something better.

Art- I've tried Selaon Blue. It made my hair incredible greasy not just the scalp but my entire hair! The only other shampoo that provides some relief is Norizal, but I'm afraid to over use that. I suppose I could switch between Norizal and Vannicream. Does Norizal even have a conditioner. I don't think so. What do you mean your good when it's up? Going back to or trying something else? You like the smell. What about scalp results?

No, never heard of or used vanicream. And yes, I've used loads of different shampoos. Currently I have about 12 different shampoos in my bathroom, all claiming to treat seborrheic dermatitis. I just wished that I had started to rotate the ones that worked, but didn't expect them to stop working.

Thanks Art, in fact I have tried all 3 of these and they have been too harsh and drying for me. The 1% Nizoral works on knife me though. Just don't want to use it all the time as I mentioned it can be drying. Yes it's stressful when when you can't get relief from Dr. s who are the professionals and have to go out on your own and what you use, eventually from works better than any prescription. I like Vanicream as I mentioned but its on the greasy as she as I mentioned. I may just rotate from Nizoral and that as those 2 have not been perfect but the most consistent. Hopefully it continues to get better from here on. Just wanted to hear others experiences. Thanks

Gee Lisa47, that's odd. A long time ago I got a prescription for a wash solution shampoo--. Ever since I been bouncing back n forth from Selsun to just my regular Finesse or whatever is on sale.
I really think that one prescription did It for me! Sometimes having immune issues lead to fungal issues and we are none the wiser. The result might be scalp issues.
The shampoo I speak of is a mild shampoo for the scalp. Im pretty sure it's anti-fungal--wash I could member' the name though. It would prob help in whatever U are going through scalp wise. I don't even think U have to use for that long!👍
These are the three [3] I come Up with when I search:
▪️Ketoconazole 2%: Requires a prescription.
▪️Ciclopirox 1%: Requires a prescription.
▪️Ketoconazole 1%: Available over-the-counter (OTC) without a prescription (e.g., Nizoral A-D)
*If U have insurance it's really inexpensive. Talk to your dermatologist about them--maybe ask for a prescrip. They also talk about Salicylic acid as an ingredient in some of these washes and how great it is.
