Copper Infused Pillowcases and Facial Seborrheic Dermatitis

Many individuals have reported improvements in their skin condition, including facial seborrheic dermatitis, after using copper-infused pillowcases. The underlying theory is that copper has natural antimicrobial properties, which can help reduce bacteria on skin surfaces and promote healing.
User Experiences and Recommendations

Benefits Reported: Users often highlight that copper-infused pillowcases may lead to clearer skin by reducing breakouts and minimizing irritation. The antimicrobial properties of copper can help keep the skin cleaner while you sleep, potentially aiding those who suffer from acne or seborrheic dermatitis.
Popular Brands:
Coppry: This brand specifically markets anti-acne copper-infused silk pillowcases and has received positive feedback for their effectiveness in improving skin appearance. Customers claim improvements in breakouts and overall skin health.
iluminage: Another brand known for combining copper-infused materials with silk, offering a luxurious option that is praised for both comfort and skin benefits.
Expert Opinions

Dermatologists acknowledge that while research on copper-infused fabrics is still emerging, there are promising indications that using these pillowcases may benefit individuals with skin issues like acne and seborrheic dermatitis. Copper's role in collagen production can also contribute to skin elasticity and reduce visible signs of aging.
Summary

Copper-infused pillowcases appear to be a worthwhile consideration for those dealing with facial seborrheic dermatitis, with many anecdotal reports supporting their effectiveness. Brands like Coppry and iluminage seem to be recommended choices based on user feedback. If you've been experiencing skin issues, it might be beneficial to try a copper pillowcase as part of your skincare routine.

thanks Mary, you are providing a beautiful service! i first read about the copper pillow cases on the Dermazen site (do you know them? a wonderful company with an all natural full product line for sebderm). they have a page which i think is called guide to sebderm that includes different suggestions, and one is the copper, which is an excellent antimicrobial (not ingested for a copper deficiency but only as a pillow for sleep). two other treatments i will be trying are Salt Rooms (we have several in the Milwaukee area) that a number of sebderm people on reddit have raved about, as well as salt compresses (apparently some people have complete remission with dead sea salt which is also antimicrobial) and infra red laser (more to regulate the immune system). apologies if you already know about these resources, i react terribly to meds so i have mostly researched alternative approaches.

I have not heard about the copper infused pillow. But very interested in researching it. Thank you, and very glad you’re here. I do know we might have a copper deficiency. Good find. I will research and list what is found here.
